Anterior- Front or towards front of body
Posterior- Back or towards back of body
Caudal- near or towards tailbone
Prone- Lying on stomach, face down
Supine- Lying on back face up
Lateral- Farther away from the midline
Medial- More towards the midline
Proximal- Closer to the trunk of the body or point of attatchment
Distal- Farther from the point of attatchment or trunk of body
Superficial- Near surface of body
Deep- Farther from the surface of the body
Superior- Situated above or higher than another part
Inferior- Situated below or lower than another part
Central- Middle of an organ
peripheral- away from the center of body or organ
